Hold Together has ended. Thank you for all the participants.
Interact with Hold Together by touching it with your mouse or finger. The longer you hold, the more you'll see and hear. The more people are holding together, the faster the change will be. Hold Together works with most modern browsers and devices. You can experience it with computer, tablet or phone.
We've built a comfortable nest, a place to rest and where to marvel our accomplishments. We're enthralled by the ideals about humanity and nature. Yet we're heading for a disaster. We have an idea what and how nature should be. It's a commodity to us, whether we admit it or not.
Hold Together is about making an effort to leave the comfortable nest and facing the reality outside. Outside our nest, outside ourselves. Change starts from within oneself, but this is and should be a collective effort. We can change our own ideals and behavior and we can hold ourselves accountable for our actions. We also need to listen to others, learn from them, and hold them accountable for their actions. Together. More than individuals, we need to hold accountable the whole system, the idealism surrounding us, the corporations, the nations continuing to exploit all living things. The change is slow. An individual can't possibly know, experience or change everything by themselves. The more people are working together, the faster and more drastic the change will be.
Most importantly Hold Together is about hope. A hope about a future where we could respect the nature as something with intrinsic value. A future where nature still exists, not only torn tree stumps, clean cut grass and paved urban areas. We need to hold on to that hope. Hold together.
